Meet the Girls

I was reading another author's website and her description of what led her to write her books and also how she talked about her characters. For some reason, I found myself with tears in my eyes because I knew exactly what she was talking about. I went to my friend Tiffany's house on July 4th and found that I discussed my characters with her as if they were right there or I had just seen them earlier in the day. I even discussed one of their cats and, true to form, Tiffany stepped in and supplied the name. Of course, I know the name of my own character's cat but, it made me feel great to know that she honestly cared enough about my characters to remember a cat's name! I swear it's as if our minds are connected.

Reading what this other author had written inspired me to come here and talk about my own characters and give you an introduction.

Charli -You know the type, always on the go, a real planner, seems to have it all together until you really look at her and realize that she is as normal as you or me and needs the closeness of her friends. Deep down, there is a little bit of Charli in all of us. Charli is heavily involved in her church youth group and loves to plan anything from get togethers to fund raisers. She's the best friend any girl could ask for. She's a little insecure but always comes out on top as a true leader.
Kristin - Kristin is spunky and never shy. Although she is small for her age, she loves to eat! She is a true friend and has no patience with snobbish nonsense. She'll stand up for her friends and her heart is always in the right place even if it does land her in a bit of trouble. In the end, her tough side melts away to reveal the love she has in her heart for both her friends and family.
Jessica - Jessica is quiet and observant. She loves to write and has filled notebooks with her poetry, short stories and thoughts. She'll quietly stand behind you, she'll hold your hand when you need it and you'll always have her shoulder to cry on. Don't get her wrong though, she's not wishy-washy. You know where you stand when Jessica is your friend. Quiet or not, Jessica is true and faithful.
Anna - Anna needs a little direction now and then when it comes to material things and looks. She is all about beauty and having the "in" things. At times she might seem cold but, she loves her friends and, although it might not always seem like it, she wouldn't trade them for all the hair accessories in the world. She's ready and willing to give make-overs and any time is a good time for hair!
